Vegan Banana Chocolate Smoothie

Vegan banana smoothie with chocolate is rarely covered by us, but let me tell you a combination of banana with sweet chocolate or either with dark chocolate can give a taste that no smoothie idea can give.

I have tested following two recipes of vegan banana chocolate smoothie yet that have given me sustained energy throughout my day and even i have left some energy to perform my cardio workout.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana (frozen for extra cold and creaminess)
  • 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder (or vegan based dark/sweet chocolate melted)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut/almond butter (or almond butter for a lighter flavor)
  • 1 cup almond milk with no added sugar (or any non-dairy milk)
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup (optional, for extra  sweetness)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of cinnamon powder  (optional, for extra warmth and flavor)
  • 3-4 ice cubes (only if you want it more cold)

Instructions:

  1. Add the frozen sliced banana, cocoa powder, peanut butter, almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using) to a blender.
  2. Blend it until creamy and smooth, scraping down the sides of the blender if necessary.
  3. If you prefer a thicker, colder texture, add ice cubes and blend again until smooth.
  4. Pour into a glass and enjoy your creamy, chocolatey banana goodness!

  • 1 tablespoon raw cocoa powder without additives
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (to get fiber and omega-3s)
  • 1/2 cup coconut water (or any plant-based milk)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A handful of spinach (optional, for adding more nutrients without much changing the taste)

Instructions:
